The process of a root canal involves removing the badly damaged area of the tooth (the nerve tissue, also known as the pulp) and disinfecting it. Once the area is clean, the inside of the tooth is then filled in and sealed. Leaving the nerve infected by bacteria can cause pain, swelling, infection or even abscessed tooth.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>
